Dr. Mark Hanby on Exercise Mind, Body And Soul

In 1 Tim 4:8, the apostle Paul suggests to Timothy that “bodily exercise profiteth little.” We understand that this is the perception of a man who spent 85% of his spiritual life in JAIL! We should also understand that in those times the chief mode of transportation was walking and that most occupations involved manual labor. In our soft society, pampered by every convenience imaginable, perhaps we should pursue the “little” that physical exercise provides. GO WORK OUT!

Little can be much when God is in it. Therefore I’m gonna get up and go before my ability got up and went before I had a chance to use it.

When you let yourself exercise or “work out” you will notice you have more energy and enlightenment because your body is able to rid itself of the negative energy it builds up in everyday living. Exercise gives the body a chance to revive and re-create the positvie spirit in it we are supposed to have. So go ahead – work it on out and feel the renewing of your spirit!
